Q1: Do I have to pay a mould fee and can it be refunded?

A1: A one time mould is needed for every new medal shape because the metal is die cast or die struck from your artwork. The fee depends on size and relief complexity, it is refunded when you reorder the same design, and it is waived entirely on orders above 1000 pieces. Once the mould exists it belongs to your design and stays with us, so every repeat order for your event runs at a lower unit cost.

Q2: What is your MOQ and can I mix gold, silver and bronze in one order?

A2: MOQ is 100 pieces per design, and gold, silver and bronze finishes of the same design count towards that total rather than each needing 100. So a typical event set of 30 gold, 30 silver and 40 bronze is accepted as one order on a single mould. Different designs can also run together, which suits schools, clubs and race organisers ordering for several categories at once.

Q3: Do you make the neck ribbon yourselves?

A3: Yes, and this is where we differ from most medal suppliers. Ribbon is our own core product, woven and printed in our own workshop, so the ribbon colour is matched to the medal artwork on the same Pantone reference instead of being ordered from an outside vendor. Widths of 15, 20, 25 and 38mm are available with woven, sublimated or screen printed logos, and lead time never depends on a third party.

Q4: What plating and colour finishes can I choose?

A4: Plating options include gold, silver, bronze, antique gold, antique silver, nickel, black nickel and rose gold. For colour we offer soft enamel with recessed lines, hard enamel polished flat, offset printing for photographic artwork and epoxy dome for a glossy protective finish. Soft enamel gives the classic textured feel at lower cost while hard enamel looks more premium and resists scratching.

Q5: Can you produce 2D and 3D medals, and what shapes are possible? 

A5: Both are available. 2D suits flat logos, lettering and simple graphics, while 3D relief brings depth to figures, mascots, buildings and sculpted scenes. Shapes are fully custom, including round, spinning, rotating, bottle opener, multi piece connecting sets and cut out silhouettes. Send us your artwork or even a sketch and we will produce a free 3D rendering for approval before any mould is cut.
